How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As a licensed Interior Designer, with a Bachelor's Degree, from the prestigious Ringling School of Art & Design, and nearly 20 yrs experience in the building and construction industry, Carmen has the unique ability to interpret and deliver the specific needs of each of her clients. Carmen's thorough understanding of the building codes, keen eye for proportion, design and understanding use of color give her the skills necessary to approach each project with expertise. In addition to her strong cabinetry design skills, Carmen has mastered an understanding of all aspects of construction giving her the ability to knowledgeably communicate with architects, fellow designers and sub-contractors. Carmen has worked in the Sarasota area for nearly 20 years and has earned the respect and recognition of many local builders and Interior Designers, as well as her clientele. As a professional member of ASID and a professional member of the IDS, Carmen has been actively involved in the local Sarasota IDS chapter, serving as chapter treasurer. Her work was showcased in the 2006 IDS Show house, has been published in HouseTrends magazine and was awarded 'Best Kitchen' in multiple local Parade of Homes. As a member of the NKBA, National Kitchen and Bath Association, Carmen keeps up to date on current trends and events in the Kitchen and Bath Industry. Carmen's innate ability to combine her experience and design talent serves to create functionally decorative spaces to meet the needs of her clients.
