Premier Surgical Billing is a full-service medical billing company whose AAPC accredited CPC owner has over 30 years of experience. We have a strong emphasis on maximizing revenue through clean claim submission, low DAR, minimal rejections, and a high success rate of denials reversed.
Full service means that not only do we submit insurance claims, but we also follow up with the patients and insurance companies until the full revenue is realized.
We also will train, for free, your check-in, check-out, and scheduling personnel in proper patient registration procedures. Your revenue cycle starts there!
At Premier Surgical Billing, we visually inspect every claim before it is submitted electronically. We double check to make sure that the codes used for the reported procedures are accurate. We compare operative notes against the superbill to make sure that any procedures that were done did not go unreported. We check to see if required modifiers have been inadvertently omitted, and apply them as needed.
Before submitting any claim involving surgical cases, we check to make sure that any required prior authorizations have been obtained.

What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is medical billing, which involves claim scrubbing, submission, payment posting, and follow up. Although we bill for all medical practices, our expertise is in Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Otorhinolaryngology.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have spent 30+ years in the medical billing and medical insurance business. Approximately 15 years in each.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We differentiate ourselves from our competitors by not just submitting claims, but by first meticulously examining the claim (visual scrubbing), comparing the operative notes to the superbill, looking for missing modifiers, and otherwise making sure that the claim gets processed the first time without rejection or denial because of missing or wrong information. We also help the practice by offering to train their schedulers, check in, and check out, to be more efficient in patient registration. This enhances the revenue cycle. We do not charge for this service, it is an added value.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location, but we service the lower 48 states We plan to continue to expand in size, but will stay Sarasota based.
Which areas do you service?
We service Sarasota County, Manatee County, Charlotte County, the Tamp Bay area, Florida, and the contiguous 48 states. We are nationwide in scope.
What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Thank you for being all that our previous medical billing company wasn't. Most companies like to think that they are the best at what they do. You certainly are. We only wish that we had used you from the start!
